The season of change brings new experiences to Jackson Hole.

The transition from summer to fall is bittersweet. Jackson clings to long days while embracing cool fall evenings. Slowly, carefree summer schedules turn to busy fall routines involving school, sports, work, meetups, and more. But as we know all too well in the Valley, change is the only constant. And this summer-to-fall haze brings with it beauty, excitement, and a little something NEW.

As the first leaves begin to change in the canyon, a number of Jackson businesses are just opening their doors to the community. Discovering these new shops, restaurants, hangout spots, and things to do provides a sense of excitement that locals and visitors are eager to explore.

New Food That’s Worth a Mouthful

    Billy’s Burgers
One of the most highly anticipated openings in Jackson Hole in the last few year’s, Billy Burgers returns to the Virginian Saloon, offering sandwiches, ice cream, and, you guessed it, mouth-watering burgers!

    Code Red
From the Fine Dining Restaurant Group comes an unexpectedly bold flavor for this mountain town, East L.A. inspired tacos, burritos and Mexican beverages.

    Kalu
Still fairly new to Jackson’s dining scene, Kalu on “restaurant row” offers Latin American Cuisine and regular specials authentic to the chef’s heritage.

With less than two years under their belts, Kampai and Corsa perhaps shouldn’t be filed under “new this fall”, but they should certainly be filed under “must try” for those who haven’t yet eaten at these two restaurants that have quickly become some of Jackson’s best.

Hangout Spots You Haven’t Tried Yet

    The Cloudveil Rooftop
Perfect for early evening outings, Cloudveil’s rooftop opened to the public for the second summer, offering light bites and crafted drinks on one of Jackson’s very few rooftop settings.

    The Pink Garter
After a three-year “will they, won’t they?” saga, local celebrity Andrew Munz formed Tumbleweed Creative and announced the re-opening of the legendary Pink Garter Theater. While the theater isn’t yet open regularly, the Tumbleweed team hopes to restore the historic space to create a schedule of shows and acts that everyone can enjoy.

    Retailers Renovating Jackson

    Kuhl
National mountain-style retailer, Kuhl recently took over the old Wyoming Outfitters building on Town Square. The large store now offers all Kuhl brand name apparel from light-weight pants to winter jackets.

    Kemo Sabe
Only a year old, but already receiving tons of attention and press, this hat retailer offers a custom hat-building experience that allows visitors to walk away with something entirely unique and entirely Jackson.

    Belle Cose Final Call
Locals are raving about this long-awaited hidden gem from major Jackson retailer, Belle Cose. The out-of-town store sells discounted Belle Cose apparel, décor, and home goods that are indeed on “final call” before they’re gone for good.

New Experiences Shaking Up The Scene

    Grand View Spa
The wellness industry of Jackson Hole upped its game this summer with the opening of the Grand View Spa at Snow King Resort. For the fall, the 9,000 square foot space offers lounge areas, saunas and steam rooms, hot tubs, treatments, and, for a limited time, local memberships.

Fall Events That Should Be On Your Calendar

    Virginian Concert Series
Debuting for the first time last year with a nationally-recognized headliner, everyone is on the edge of their seats to see who the Virginian Concert Series will bring to rock the outdoor stage in October, 2023.

    Teton Leadership Conference
The first event of the newly-formed Teton Leadership Center, the TLC Kick-Off Summit will inspire “next generation leadership practices” with keynote speakers from around the region.

    Across the Water
In its second year, Across the Water Jackson Hole gathers all generations of women in a spiritual journey of exploration and support.

    Dining

From sushi to high alpine cuisine, breakfast burritos to bison steak, cold-pressed juices to croissants, Jackson Hole’s dining is almost as exciting as a bluebird powder day.

Of course, the best souvenir is one you can come back to, but that doesn’t mean you should skip the hunt for something to take home.
