    Voluntourism

Get Involved. Give Back. Go Deeper.

Jackson Hole moves people. Maybe it’s the scale of the mountains, the quiet of the National Parks, or the way the light hits town in the evening. But this place doesn’t take care of itself—it takes an entire community to protect the wild, support our neighbors, and keep this valley thriving.

Whether you’re here for a weekend or a season, you’re invited to pitch in. Volunteering while you visit connects you to Jackson Hole on a deeper level—and helps keep it special for the next person who comes along.

    Why Volunteer Here?

This is more than feel-good work. It’s trail repair in the national forest. It’s pulling fence so pronghorn can move. It’s helping a neighbor or serving a meal. It’s stewardship in real time, side by side with locals who care.

    Trail & Public Lands Work

Bridger-Teton National Forest (BTNF) and Grand Teton National Park (GTNP) accept groups and individual volunteers year-round. Although many frontline ambassador opportunities (including campground hosts and trailhead greeters) are long-term and require training, flexible short-term options such as trail maintenance are also available.

    Local Nonprofit Support

Community Foundation of Jackson HoleVolunteer JH

The Community Foundation of Jackson Hole (CFJH) curates the Volunteer JH forum that sources opportunities directly from the region’s 200+ nonprofits. A few examples include:

    • Serve dinners at the Senior Center
    • Help set up events at the Art Association
    • Walk dogs at the Animal Adoption Center
Bring the Spirit of “All Hands, All Lands”

We believe everyone has a role to play in protecting this place—locals, visitors, and everyone in between. Join us in carrying out the Sustainable Destination Management Plan and leave Jackson Hole better than you found it.
